The NZeTA, short for New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority, is the online authorisation most visa-waiver travellers need before boarding, whether visiting or simply transiting through. It links to the passport used to apply, stays valid for multiple trips across roughly two years or until that passport expires, and sits apart from the separate NZ Traveller Declaration filed closer to departure.
What you'll need
A valid passport and your nationality, your passport issuing country and place of birth, a clear, recent face photo for the application, your arrival date and reason for the trip, and an email address so we can send over your confirmation.
